Our display was started in 1999, although no pictures were taken.  In October, 2000, The Oakland Press published this photo:
                                                                                
In 2001 we seemed to be in a "funk" after 9-11, total strangers asked if we were decorating saying "we need it now more then ever". We put up the display, but just couldn't get into it. Our hearts were elsewhere. So again no pictures. After that "the rest was HISTORY".
